Our mission is to empower and support families by creating a vibrant community hub, in the centre of Ulverston, where parents and carers can connect, relax, and access resources while their children enjoy enriching play. We aim to build a strong network that helps families thrive and cultivates a connected, resilient community.
The Vision
In Summer 2024, we sent out a survey to hear your ideas & what was important to you. We had amazing feedback from you all and have integrated your voices into our vision.
And this is just the beginning.
State-of-the-art Play
We’re teaming up with an award-winning play designer to craft a stunning, eco-friendly indoor play space. Using carbon-neutral materials, we ensure fun, whatever the weather, without harming the planet.
Really Good Coffee
You no longer have to choose between great coffee and your kids having fun! We’ve partnered with local roastery, Podda & Wren, to bring you a delicious cup every time you visit. There will be cake too!
Workshops & Community Events
We’ll offer a range of workshops for kids and parents alike on topics like parenting, self-care, and crafts. Plus, we’ll host community events to connect and have fun together year-round, including during school holidays!
Drop-off Play Service
We know how hard it is to find childcare in Ulverston. That’s why we plan to offer drop-off play services for under-5s for parents who just need an hour or two to focus on themselves.
SEND Play & Community
Equality is essential to us. With many SEND families in the area, we want to work with you to offer designated playtimes and family meet-ups, giving you space to connect, unwind, and feel supported.
Information Hub
We’ll be your go-to hub for all local family information -playgroups, support groups, health providers, and family services - all in one place, saving you time and helping you find what you need.
